Job Description
Are you passionate about fashion, with a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for unique vintage pieces? ASOS is looking for an enthusiastic E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our dynamic warehouse team in Chester. In this role, you will be responsible for carefully inspecting, sorting, and preparing vintage clothing items for sale on our e-commerce platform. This involves quality control, identifying unique features, and ensuring all items meet our high standards for listing. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and meticulously inspect incoming vintage clothing items for quality, authenticity, and condition.
- Categorize and sort vintage garments by type, era, brand, size, and potential value.
- Identify and document any defects, wear, or unique characteristics of each item.
- Collaborate with the photography and listing teams to ensure accurate product descriptions and visual representation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sorting area within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Proven keen eye for detail and ability to identify subtle differences in fabric, design, and condition.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory management.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 15kg), and move items throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, fashion, textiles, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of vintage clothing eras, brands, and materials.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and inventory systems.
- A genuine passion for sustainable fashion and vintage apparel.
