Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented City Map GPS Verifier to join our remote team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our mapping data and navigation systems. You will analyze and verify geographic information, identify discrepancies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of TomTom’s world-class maps. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in the UK, provided you have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review and verify geographic data, including road networks, points of interest, and addresses, against various sources (satellite imagery, street-level views, user feedback).
- Identify and document inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and missing information within our mapping database.
- Utilize internal tools and software to edit, update, and improve map attributes.
- Collaborate with data collection and engineering teams to resolve complex mapping issues.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on mapping quality and tool functionality.
- Adhere to established guidelines and quality standards to maintain data integrity.
- Participate in training and continuous learning programs to stay updated on mapping technologies and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using mapping tools, GPS devices, or navigation software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
