Job Description

Are you passionate about cars and have a keen eye for detail? Arnold Clark is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Car Valeter / Wash Attendant to join our busy team in Scunthorpe. As a key part of our operations, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of vehicles, from everyday cars to luxury models, ensuring they look their absolute best. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning, washing, waxing, and polishing of vehicles, both interior and exterior, to a high standard.
  • Vacuum interiors, shampoo carpets, and clean upholstery, ensuring all surfaces are pristine.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and dashboard surfaces without streaks or residue.
  • Apply protective coatings and dressings to vehicle surfaces as required.
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and presentation, addressing any imperfections before handover.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with moving vehicles around the site as required, safely and efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing tasks effectively.
  • Good physical stamina for prolonged standing, bending, and repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid UK driving license with a clean record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in car valeting, detailing, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and techniques for different vehicle types and materials.
  • A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry.
