Job Description
Are you passionate about cars and have a keen eye for detail? Arnold Clark is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Car Valeter / Wash Attendant to join our busy team in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who takes pride in their work, ensuring every vehicle meets our high standards of cleanliness and presentation before it reaches our customers. As a key part of our operations, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of vehicles, from everyday cars to luxury models, ensuring they look their absolute best. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning, washing, waxing, and polishing of vehicles, both interior and exterior, to a high standard.
- Vacuum interiors, shampoo carpets, and clean upholstery, ensuring all surfaces are pristine.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and dashboard surfaces without streaks or residue.
- Apply protective coatings and dressings to vehicle surfaces as required.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and presentation, addressing any imperfections before handover.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with moving vehicles around the site as required, safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing tasks effectively.
- Good physical stamina for prolonged standing, bending, and repetitive tasks.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in car valeting, detailing, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and techniques for different vehicle types and materials.
- A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry.
