Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Automated Voice Tester to join our innovative AI team. In this role, you will play a critical part in refining the pronunciation accuracy and naturalness of our automated voice systems. You will be responsible for listening to, analyzing, and providing precise feedback on generated speech, ensuring it meets the highest standards of clarity, fluency, and linguistic correctness. This position is essential for enhancing user experience and the overall quality of our intelligent voice technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test cases for automated voice systems, focusing specifically on pronunciation and prosody.
- Actively listen to AI-generated speech samples and identify errors in phonetics, intonation, stress, and rhythm.
- Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to AI engineers and linguists regarding pronunciation deficiencies.
- Document detailed bug reports and test results, including examples and severity rankings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to test plan development.
- Stay updated on best practices in speech synthesis, natural language processing, and voice AI.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Required Skills
- Exceptional native-level English pronunciation and clear articulation.
- Strong critical listening skills and a keen ear for linguistic nuances.
- Proficiency in identifying subtle errors in speech patterns and pronunciation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex feedback.

- Basic familiarity with software testing principles or quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in linguistics, phonetics, speech pathology, or a related field.
- Experience with voice user interface (VUI) testing or speech recognition systems.
- Proficiency in additional languages, especially those with complex phonetic rules.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Prior experience in a quality assurance or testing role within a technology company.
