Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and licensed Part-time CCTV Operator to join our team for weekend monitoring in our state-of-the-art monitoring room located in Garden Grove, CA. This crucial role involves proactive surveillance and immediate response to security incidents, ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ premises. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent observational skills, and the ability to react quickly and effectively under pressure. This position requires a valid California Security Guard License (BSIS Guard Card) and is specifically for weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor multiple CCTV screens continuously for suspicious activities, security breaches, and potential threats.
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including PTZ cameras, digital recording systems, and access control systems.
- Document all incidents, anomalies, and observations accurately in detailed reports.
- Communicate effectively with on-site security personnel, law enforcement, and emergency services as required.
- Respond promptly to alarms and unusual events, following established protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure all CCTV equipment is fully operational.
- Adhere strictly to privacy policies and data protection regulations.
- Assist in investigations by retrieving and reviewing recorded footage as requested.
Required Skills
- Valid California Security Guard License (BSIS Guard Card)
- Proven experience operating multi-screen CCTV surveillance systems
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Proficiency with standard office software (MS Office Suite)
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills for surveillance equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
- Previous experience in a security monitoring center or dispatch environment
- Familiarity with various alarm monitoring software and access control systems
- First Aid/CPR certification
