Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Auto Transport Specialist to join our team in Concord, CA. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of multiple vehicles using a multi-car carrier. As an expert in vehicle logistics, you will be responsible for meticulous loading, securing, and delivery of diverse types of vehicles across designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a multi-car carrier vehicle for the transport of automobiles.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
- Load, secure, and unload vehicles with precision and care, preventing damage.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic, weather, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct minor roadside repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service during vehicle pickup and delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience operating multi-car carriers
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations
- Proven ability to safely load, secure, and unload a variety of vehicles
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and vehicle inspection procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with luxury, exotic, or classic vehicle transport
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management systems
- Certification in advanced vehicle securing techniques
- Geographic knowledge of California and the Western United States
