Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apple Sustainability Coordinator with a strong focus on Green Tech to join our remote team. This role is crucial in supporting Apple’s ambitious environmental initiatives, specifically within our green technology projects. You will work closely with various internal teams and external partners to ensure our sustainability goals are met, focusing on data collection, reporting, project coordination, and the integration of sustainable practices into our product lifecycle and operations. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support various green technology and sustainability projects across different departments.
- Collect, analyze, and report on key environmental data, including carbon emissions, energy consumption, and waste reduction metrics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and policies aligned with Apple’s environmental commitments.
- Research and evaluate new green technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product sustainability.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and product development teams to integrate sustainable design principles.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and communications on sustainability performance and initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal sustainability standards.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, training, and awareness programs on sustainability for employees.
- Support external engagement efforts with NGOs, industry groups, and regulatory bodies on environmental matters.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of green technologies, circular economy principles, and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with environmental certifications (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001).
- Familiarity with life cycle assessment (LCA) methodologies.
- Experience working in the technology or consumer electronics industry.
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
