Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Pharmaceutical Transcriber with a focus on research and lab documentation to join our team in Kansas City, MO. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings of scientific meetings, laboratory notes, research findings, and clinical trial data. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, excellent listening skills, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the integrity and accessibility of critical research documentation, directly supporting our scientific and clinical development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings of scientific meetings, lab experiments, research discussions, and data readouts.
- Review and verify transcribed documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specific formatting guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive research and proprietary information.
- Collaborate with research scientists, lab personnel, and clinical teams to clarify unclear terminology or context.
- Manage and prioritize transcription tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced research environment.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and tools effectively.
- Ensure all documentation complies with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., GCP, GLP) where applicable.
- Assist in the organization and archiving of research documentation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in medical or scientific transcription.
- Exceptional listening skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical, biological, and chemical terminology.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and transcription software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a life science, medical transcription, or related field.
- Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT/RMT) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines.
- Experience with electronic lab notebooks (ELN) or clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
