Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plastic Surgery Nurse to join our esteemed private boutique clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented professional to play a crucial role in our patient care journey, from initial consultation through post-operative recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic surgery or aesthetic nursing, possess excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. You will work closely with our board-certified plastic surgeons, providing support in both clinical and surgical settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist plastic surgeons during in-office procedures and minor surgeries, ensuring sterile technique and patient comfort.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care instructions to patients, addressing all concerns.
- Manage patient records, including accurate charting, documentation, and maintenance of confidentiality.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready.
- Administer injections (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers) and perform other non-surgical aesthetic treatments under supervision, if qualified.
- Monitor patients during recovery, identifying and responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Order and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment specific to plastic surgery.
- Educate patients on various plastic surgery procedures, expected outcomes, and recovery processes.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries, providing support and guidance.
Required Skills
- Current Ohio RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in plastic surgery, dermatology, or medical aesthetics.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-end private clinic environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in Plastic Surgical Nursing (CPSN) or Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS).
- Experience with cosmetic injectables (Botox, fillers) and laser treatments.
- Familiarity with boutique clinic operations and patient experience management.
- Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish.
