Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Salon Stock Controller to join our vibrant team in Derby. This part-time role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our salon by ensuring all product inventory, equipment, and supplies are accurately managed, well-stocked, and efficiently organized. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, conducting regular stock counts, managing returns, and liaising with suppliers to ensure our stylists and technicians always have what they need to deliver outstanding service. This position requires someone proactive, with excellent record-keeping abilities and a keen eye for detail, contributing directly to the salon’s efficiency and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and noting any discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the stock room, ensuring products are stored neatly, safely, and accessibly.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with inventory records.
- Process product returns to suppliers and manage damaged or expired stock.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, placing orders as needed in consultation with management.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly salon environment.
- Support the salon team with day-to-day operational tasks related to supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all stock movements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to stock storage and handling.
