Job Description
Are you a seasoned landscaping professional with a passion for the outdoors and a knack for leadership? Green Drop is seeking an experienced Commercial Landscaping Crew Leader to join our dynamic team in Lethbridge. This is an immediate start, full-time position requiring a hands-on approach to managing commercial landscaping projects. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading a crew, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe work environment on various commercial sites. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a commercial landscaping crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
- Perform a wide range of landscaping duties such as mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, and irrigation.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies on all job sites.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Train and mentor junior crew members, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as they arise, demonstrating problem-solving capabilities.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial landscaping.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a landscaping setting.
- Proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care.
- Ability to work effectively in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Horticulture diploma or relevant certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with irrigation systems maintenance and repair.
- Pesticide application license (asset for specific roles).
