Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Remote Voice Labeling Specialist to join our Speech Recognition team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within Canada. As a Voice Labeling Specialist, you will play a crucial role in improving the accuracy and performance of our speech recognition models by meticulously transcribing and annotating audio data. Your work will directly impact the quality of Google’s voice-enabled products, making them more intuitive and accessible for users worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe spoken language from audio clips into text, adhering to strict style guides and quality standards.
- Annotate various linguistic features within audio data, including intonation, pauses, speaker identification, and background noise.
- Review and correct transcriptions and annotations generated by other specialists or automated systems.
- Identify and report data quality issues or inconsistencies to team leads.
- Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistent application of labeling guidelines.
- Contribute to the refinement of annotation guidelines and best practices.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily transcription and annotation quotas.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening skills and a keen ear for detail.
- Fluent proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods on repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with web-based tools and applications.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
