Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of complex software projects, guiding cross-functional teams, and fostering an agile mindset. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define project scope, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement across our delivery pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach multiple agile teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work with product owners to ensure a clear and well-prioritised product backlog.
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress, proactively resolving issues and escalating as necessary.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery within agreed constraints.
- Champion agile best practices and continuous delivery principles across the organisation.
- Coach team members on agile principles and practices, promoting self-organisation and accountability.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships.
- Demonstrable experience in risk management and change management within an agile context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (SAFe, PSM).
- Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Background in software development or technical project management.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
