Job Description

You will be instrumental in identifying and notifying individuals who may have been exposed to infectious diseases, providing guidance, and connecting them with necessary resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in extensive training programs to develop expertise in contact tracing protocols, interviewing techniques, and data management.
  • Conduct confidential interviews with individuals who have tested positive for infectious diseases to identify their close contacts.
  • Communicate with identified contacts to inform them of their potential exposure, provide guidance on self-isolation or quarantine, and monitor for symptom development.
  • Accurately document all information and interactions in designated public health databases, ensuring strict adherence to privacy and data security guidelines.
  • Provide empathetic support and clear, concise information about disease transmission, prevention strategies, and available community resources.
  • Collaborate closely with public health nurses and other team members to manage complex cases and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public health guidelines and protocols related to infectious disease control.
