Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver parcels to residential and business customers within the allocated geographic area (Derry and surrounding areas).
- Manage delivery routes and schedules effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload parcels from the delivery vehicle with care.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing DPD with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor delivery issues courteously.
- Complete necessary paperwork and utilize handheld scanning devices accurately.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Full UK driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels of various sizes and weights.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Derry and Northern Ireland road network.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
