Job Description
Join GFL Environmental Inc. as a Graffiti Removal Technician and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of our community in Parry Sound. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a career with full training provided. You will be responsible for the safe and effective removal of graffiti from various surfaces, ensuring public spaces remain clean and welcoming. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training in all aspects of graffiti removal techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are eager to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to contributing positively to their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove graffiti from buildings, signs, public infrastructure, and other surfaces using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, chemical applicators, and paint removal tools.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental regulations when handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assess different types of graffiti and surfaces to determine the most effective removal methods.
- Prepare work sites, including setting up safety barriers and signage.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials generated during graffiti removal.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Represent GFL Environmental Inc. professionally while interacting with the public and property owners.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning agents and their safe handling (training provided).
- Experience in general labor, construction, or outdoor maintenance is a plus, but not required.
