Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented WFH Dispatcher Assistant to join our remote logistics support team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dispatch processes, working from the comfort of your home. You will assist our dispatchers in coordinating deliveries, managing routes, and communicating with drivers and clients, contributing directly to our commitment to exceptional service and timely logistics. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior dispatchers in planning and optimizing delivery routes for various shipments.
- Monitor real-time delivery progress and provide updates to dispatchers and customer service.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to relay instructions, address issues, and confirm deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery schedules, and driver logs.
- Respond to inquiries from drivers and internal teams regarding routing or delivery status.
- Help resolve unexpected delays or challenges that may arise during transit.
- Utilize dispatch software and communication tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily reports on completed deliveries and outstanding tasks.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a related administrative role.
- Familiarity with geographical areas and route planning.
