Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Decathlon as a Home Gym Equipment Assembler! This hands-on role involves the careful and efficient assembly of various home gym equipment, ranging from treadmills and exercise bikes to weight benches and multi-gyms. You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is built to the highest safety and quality standards, ready for our customers. This position requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team in our Headington facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble a wide range of home gym equipment according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Perform quality checks on all assembled products to ensure functionality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Report any defective parts or assembly issues to the team leader.
- Adhere to all company health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and movement of equipment as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven manual dexterity and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role.
- Familiarity with various types of home gym equipment.
- A valid driving license.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards in a workshop environment.
