Job Description

Join Doncaster College and University Centre as a Bilingual & ESL Education Intern and gain invaluable experience in a dynamic educational setting. You will work closely with experienced educators, assisting in various capacities to enhance the academic success and integration of bilingual and ESL students. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist ESL instructors in classroom activities, including lesson preparation and material development.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to bilingual and ESL students, focusing on language acquisition and academic skills.
  • Help organize and facilitate workshops, cultural events, and support groups for international and ESL students.
  • Translate educational materials or communications as needed, utilizing your bilingual proficiency.
  • Support student onboarding and orientation processes, helping new students adapt to college life.
  • Contribute to the development of resources aimed at improving ESL student engagement and success.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development sessions.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in English and at least one other language.
