Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium to join our dynamic technology team in St. Albert, Alberta. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
- Implement and enhance existing test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, advocating for quality best practices from inception to deployment.
- Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous improvement in test automation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies across projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer with extensive hands-on experience using Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong programming skills in Java or Python, demonstrated through practical application in test automation.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with other automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- ISTQB certification or other relevant industry certifications.
