Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technological strategy and innovation initiatives. The CTO will be responsible for defining the long-term technology roadmap, overseeing research and development, and ensuring our technological infrastructure supports our global operations and strategic goals. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of emerging technologies, a proven track record in large-scale system architecture, and the ability to inspire and manage diverse engineering and development teams across various global projects. The ideal candidate will drive technological excellence, foster a culture of innovation, and align technology investments with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall technology strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a global team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new products, services, and technological solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security.
- Manage the technology budget and resources effectively, ensuring optimal ROI on technology investments.
- Ensure the company's technology infrastructure is robust, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, and other departments to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Represent the company externally as a technology thought leader at conferences and industry events.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 15 years, with 5+ years in an executive technology leadership role such as CTO or VP of Engineering).
- Strong background in software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
- Expertise in strategic technology planning and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale global engineering and IT teams.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture and system design.
- Proficiency in managing complex technology projects and budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP).
- Experience with AI/Machine Learning and Big Data technologies.
