Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Biohazard Cleanup Assistant to join our specialized trauma scene cleanup team in Leeds. This critical role involves responding to sensitive and often challenging situations, performing thorough cleaning, disinfection, and remediation of scenes affected by biohazardous materials, including blood, bodily fluids, and other contaminants. Full specialized training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively carry out all duties, adhering to strict health and safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to trauma and biohazard cleanup calls promptly and discreetly.
  • Assess scene conditions and identify necessary equipment and procedures.
  • Execute comprehensive cleaning, disinfection, and decontamination of affected areas.
  • Properly handle, package, and dispose of biohazardous waste according to regulations.
  • Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and protective gear.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and the public.
  • Document services performed and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions.
