Job Description

As a Patient Transporter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients are safely and comfortably moved between departments, contributing directly to a positive patient experience and the smooth operation of our busy hospital environment. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport patients via wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds to and from various hospital departments (e.g., patient rooms, examination areas, operating rooms, therapy units).
- Assist patients with getting into and out of transportation devices, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Verify patient identification and transport requests to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and hospital staff to provide updates and manage expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of transport equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage promptly.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, safety guidelines, and patient confidentiality (HIPAA/GDPR equivalent).
- Respond promptly to transport requests, prioritizing emergent and urgent patient needs.
- Provide a friendly and reassuring presence for patients during transport.
- Assist with other general duties as assigned by supervisors to support hospital operations.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a customer service role
- Basic First Aid or CPR certification (training will be provided if not held)
