Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Audio Transcriptionists to join our global team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home with a flexible schedule. You will be responsible for accurately converting various audio files into written text, ensuring high quality, grammar, and adherence to specific guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio files of varying quality and length into text format.
- Ensure grammatical correctness, proper punctuation, and accurate spelling in all transcriptions.
- Adhere strictly to client-specific formatting guidelines and style guides.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client information and project materials.
- Review and proofread completed transcripts for errors, omissions, and overall quality.
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines for project delivery.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening and comprehension skills.
- Native or near-native proficiency in English (grammar, spelling, punctuation).
- High level of typing accuracy and speed.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Personal computer with appropriate transcription software (e.g., foot pedal compatible).
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of proven experience in audio transcription.
- Familiarity with various accents and dialects.
- Experience with different types of audio content (e.g., interviews, legal proceedings, medical dictations, academic lectures, podcasts).
- Ability to research and verify terminology when necessary.
