Job Description
Join the Cintas team as a Part-time Weekend Laundry Sorter at our industrial facility in Sacramento. This is a routine but critical role responsible for the efficient sorting of soiled linens and garments received from various businesses. Your attention to detail ensures that items are correctly categorized for processing, contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of our operations. This position offers a stable weekend schedule and is ideal for individuals seeking consistent part-time work in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming soiled linen and garments from delivery vehicles.
- Sort laundry by type, color, and degree of soil according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for damage or foreign objects before processing.
- Place sorted items into appropriate containers or onto conveyor belts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate any issues with equipment or incoming materials to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently on weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting tasks
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and push/pull carts
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry, warehouse, or industrial setting is a plus but not required
- High school diploma or GED
