Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Car Dealership Evaluator with a strong professional service focus to join our team in Hialeah, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for meticulously assessing the condition and value of vehicles, ensuring all evaluations meet our stringent quality standards and customer expectations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing transparent and fair assessments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle mechanics, market trends, and a customer-centric approach to their work. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and accurate evaluations of incoming vehicles, including trade-ins and inventory acquisitions.
- Assess cosmetic, mechanical, and structural condition of vehicles using established checklists and diagnostic tools.
- Determine fair market value based on condition, mileage, features, and current market data.
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports, documenting all findings and recommended actions.
- Communicate evaluation results clearly and professionally to sales staff, management, and customers.
- Ensure all evaluations adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about current automotive market trends, vehicle models, and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with sales and service departments to optimize vehicle acquisition and reconditioning processes.
- Provide expert input on vehicle reconditioning needs and costs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in vehicle evaluation, appraisal, or automotive service advising.
- In-depth knowledge of various vehicle makes, models, and their mechanical components.
- Strong understanding of automotive market trends and valuation methodologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using vehicle diagnostic tools and appraisal software.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certification or equivalent automotive technical training.
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with specific dealership management systems (DMS).
- Background in automotive sales or customer service.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, given the local demographic.
