Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our dynamic team at Oxford Spires Academy. This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual who is eager to embark on their teaching career within a supportive and innovative school environment. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, inspiring students, and contributing to the overall success of our academy. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across various key stages, appropriate to the subject area.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning and progress of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters academic growth.
- Collaborate effectively with department colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student well-being and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources.
- Participate in the school's extra-curricular programme and wider school community events.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and adhere to school policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or awaiting QTS.
- A relevant undergraduate degree in the subject area.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting (e.g., teaching assistant, tutoring).
- Evidence of commitment to wider school activities or community involvement.
- Ability to use educational technology effectively to enhance learning.
