Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Subsea Engineer to join our dynamic team in Norwich. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, analysis, and integrity management of subsea production systems and related infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to major global energy projects, focusing on innovative solutions and safe operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed design and analysis of subsea pipelines, risers, and structures.
  • Conduct technical studies, feasibility assessments, and engineering calculations.
  • Develop technical specifications, procedures, and reports.
  • Support offshore installation and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide technical input for project reviews.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or Ocean Engineering.
  • Proven experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas or renewable energy sectors.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., ABAQUS, ANSYS, OrcaFlex).
  • Strong understanding of subsea system components and architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a related engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Experience with trenching, pipelay, or umbilical installation projects.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV, API, and ISO.
  • Project management experience.
