Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Solar Panel Installation Labourer to join our growing team. This is a high-demand role that involves significant travel to various client sites within Quebec. You will be responsible for assisting skilled technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in various outdoor conditions and at heights. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assembly and installation of solar PV panels and racking systems on rooftops and ground mounts.
- Help with the preparation of installation sites, including staging materials and equipment.
- Perform various construction-related tasks such as digging trenches, running conduit, and mounting electrical equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Handle and transport materials and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide support to lead installers and electricians as needed.
- Travel frequently to project sites across different locations in Quebec.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, roofing, or general labour.
- Familiarity with solar PV systems or renewable energy technologies.
- First Aid and Fall Protection certifications.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
