Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Pickering, Ontario. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of innovative web applications and services that impact millions of users globally. The successful candidate will be proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies, possess a deep understanding of software architecture, and be capable of leading complex projects from conception to completion. This position includes H1B / Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship for eligible international candidates looking to relocate to Canada. This is a Hybrid work model position, blending on-site and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable full-stack web applications and services.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across the entire software stack.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them where appropriate.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Expertise in back-end development with Node.js, Python, Java, or C#.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading development teams.
