Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Transport goods to and from various destinations, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery records.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
  • Ensure the security and safety of cargo during transit.
  • Represent J.B. Hunt professionally at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – Class A preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) within company guidelines
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a professional driving role (even if minimal)
  • Hazmat endorsement
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
