Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Roofers Mate to join our growing team in Sheffield. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in the roofing industry, providing essential support to experienced roofers. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects run smoothly, assisting with material handling, site preparation, and general support tasks. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced roofers with various tasks on site.
  • Safely load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare work areas, including setting up scaffolding and safety barriers.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Support the team with general labour duties as required.
  • Learn and develop roofing skills under supervision.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and take instruction.
