Job Description
Are you passionate about beauty and eager to start your career in retail? Sephora in Kelowna is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Retail Cosmetics Clerk. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for those with no prior experience in cosmetics or retail. We believe in nurturing talent and providing comprehensive training to help you succeed. You’ll be the face of Sephora, helping clients discover new products, offering personalized advice, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Provide product recommendations and demonstrate makeup application techniques as trained
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring products are stocked and clean
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system
- Educate clients on current promotions, events, and Sephora's loyalty program
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, unpacking, and merchandising products
- Uphold Sephora's high standards of customer service and store presentation
- Actively participate in ongoing product knowledge and sales training sessions
Required Skills
- No prior retail or cosmetics experience required – full training provided
- Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine desire to help others
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- A positive attitude and a passion for the beauty industry
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for POS system operation
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A strong interest in cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., hospitality, food service) is a plus, but not mandatory
