Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented WFH Data Entry and Payroll Administrator to join our remote team. This is a full-time position offering a stable income for an individual who is meticulous with data, understands the importance of accuracy in payroll processing, and thrives in a remote work setting. As a key member of our administrative support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise and timely input of critical payroll data, contributing to the smooth operation of our clients’ human resources and financial functions. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and maintain employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions into payroll systems.
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payrolls for assigned clients, ensuring all entries are correct and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Verify timesheet data and resolve any discrepancies by liaising with employees or managers.
- Assist with the reconciliation of payroll data and prepare related reports.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company data.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
- Support year-end payroll activities, including T4/RL-1 preparation and other reporting.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to data entry and payroll administration.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data entry with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French (asset).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with major payroll software platforms (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce).
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Previous remote work experience.
