Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Digital Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. This is a fully remote position for an individual who lives and breathes social media trends, understands audience engagement, and is eager to contribute to cutting-edge digital campaigns. You will play a crucial role in monitoring social conversations, identifying emerging trends, creating engaging content, and supporting the overall social media strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor social media channels for trending topics, keywords, and conversations relevant to our industry and brand.
- Assist in the creation and curation of engaging content (text, image, video) tailored for various social platforms.
- Schedule and publish social media posts using Hootsuite platform.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and on-brand manner.
- Support the social media team in campaign execution, including research, content development, and performance tracking.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new social media strategies and content ideas.
- Analyze social media performance data to identify insights and inform future content decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, platform updates, and digital marketing trends.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable passion and understanding of current social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Familiarity with social media trends, viral content, and online communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) for creating social media visuals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (internship or freelance) managing social media accounts for a brand or business.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
- Experience with video content creation or editing for social media.
