Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Digital Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. This is a fully remote position for an individual who lives and breathes social media trends, understands audience engagement, and is eager to contribute to cutting-edge digital campaigns. You will play a crucial role in monitoring social conversations, identifying emerging trends, creating engaging content, and supporting the overall social media strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media channels for trending topics, keywords, and conversations relevant to our industry and brand.
  • Assist in the creation and curation of engaging content (text, image, video) tailored for various social platforms.
  • Schedule and publish social media posts using Hootsuite platform.
  • Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and on-brand manner.
  • Support the social media team in campaign execution, including research, content development, and performance tracking.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new social media strategies and content ideas.
  • Analyze social media performance data to identify insights and inform future content decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, platform updates, and digital marketing trends.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrable passion and understanding of current social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Familiarity with social media trends, viral content, and online communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) for creating social media visuals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (internship or freelance) managing social media accounts for a brand or business.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Experience with video content creation or editing for social media.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
