Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our Quebec City location. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in restaurant management, capable of overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a positive and productive team culture. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership, strong business acumen, and a passion for culinary excellence and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring adherence to Bâton Rouge standards.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties effectively.
- Handle guest concerns and feedback professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, and restaurant cleanliness.
- Lead by example, upholding Bâton Rouge's values and commitment to hospitality.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant general management.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven financial management and cost control expertise.
- Deep understanding of restaurant operations, including BOH and FOH.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Food handler's certification and relevant alcohol service certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with fine dining or premium casual dining establishments.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a significant asset.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and managing budgets.
- Extensive knowledge of local food and beverage trends.
