Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Resort Operations Manager to oversee the daily operational functions of our luxurious resort. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in high-end hospitality management, capable of ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, optimizing operational efficiency, and inspiring a high-performing team. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing various departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services, ensuring all operations align with our brand standards and financial objectives. A relocation package is provided for the right candidate eager to make their mark in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of all resort departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction are consistently met and exceeded, promptly addressing any guest feedback or concerns.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, control costs, and identify revenue-generating opportunities across all operational areas.
- Collaborate with department heads to set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement training programs.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and security throughout the resort, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Act as a visible leader, engaging with guests and team members to ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Strategize and execute initiatives to enhance the resort's reputation and market position.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in resort or luxury hotel operations management.
- Strong understanding of hospitality management principles, including front office, housekeeping, and F&B operations.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with Hilton brand standards and operational procedures.
- Multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly in a luxury resort setting.
- Certification in hospitality management or related professional development programs.
