Job Description
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy? Ørsted is seeking an enthusiastic Renewable Energy Sales Consultant to join our growing team in Kingston upon Hull. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of green energy solutions by businesses and communities. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and effectively communicating the benefits of our innovative renewable energy products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors for renewable energy solutions.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with potential clients to understand their energy consumption and sustainability goals.
- Present tailored renewable energy proposals, including detailed technical specifications, financial benefits, and environmental impact.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the client and Ørsted.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities within the renewable energy sector.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the energy, utilities, or technology sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and resilient.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar PV, wind, energy storage) and their applications.
- Experience selling complex solutions or consultative sales.
- Familiarity with the UK energy market and regulatory landscape.
