Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Housing Assistance Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, work-from-home position offering full benefits. You will play a crucial role in providing essential support and guidance to residents, assisting them with housing-related inquiries, navigating support services, and ensuring their well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment. You will be the first point of contact for many residents, offering advice, signposting to relevant agencies, and coordinating services to maintain stable tenancies and promote a positive living experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary remote contact for residents seeking housing assistance and information.
  • Provide guidance on tenancy agreements, housing policies, and resident responsibilities.
  • Assist residents in completing application forms for housing, benefits, and other support services.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies (e.g., social services, mental health support, debt advice) to ensure residents receive comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential resident records and update case management systems.
  • Monitor and follow up on resident inquiries and service requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify potential issues that could lead to tenancy breakdown and implement preventative measures.
  • Educate residents on community resources and opportunities available to them.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housing management, social care, customer service, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with UK housing legislation and welfare benefits system.
  • Knowledge of local community resources in Wales, particularly Ceredigion.
  • A relevant qualification in housing, social work, or community development.
