Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Remote Cybersecurity Data Annotator to join our innovative Security Tech team. This is a 100% remote position. In this role, you will be crucial in enhancing our machine learning models by accurately labeling and categorizing vast amounts of cybersecurity-related data. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately annotate and categorize cybersecurity data, including network traffic, malware samples, security logs, and threat intelligence reports.
- Apply predefined annotation guidelines consistently to ensure high data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and security analysts to refine annotation guidelines and address data ambiguities.
- Participate in quality assurance processes to review annotated data and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all security protocols when handling sensitive data.
- Continuously learn about new cybersecurity threats and concepts to improve annotation accuracy.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., malware, phishing, network protocols).
- Proficiency with data entry and annotation tools, or a quick learner of new software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data annotation, data labeling, or quality assurance, especially in a technical field.
- Educational background or certifications in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and command-line interfaces.
- Experience working with large datasets or security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
