Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Quantitative Chemist with a strong focus on Data Analytics to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote position offers the exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in chemistry and advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing analytical methods, interpreting experimental results, and applying statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve challenging scientific problems across various projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods for quantitative chemical analysis.
- Design and execute experiments, ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
- Collect, process, and analyze large, complex datasets generated from various analytical instruments (e.g., LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, UV-Vis).
- Apply advanced statistical analysis, chemometrics, and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and predictive models.
- Interpret and visualize data to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemists, biologists, and data scientists, to define research questions and data analysis strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of methods, data, and analysis workflows.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in analytical chemistry, data science, and relevant software tools.
- Contribute to the development of new analytical technologies and products.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a related scientific field.
- Strong theoretical and practical background in quantitative analytical chemistry.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and experimental design (DOE).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Familiarity with various analytical instrumentation and their data outputs (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning algorithms applied to chemical or biological data.
- Proficiency with specific data analysis software (e.g., JMP, SAS, MATLAB, SIMCA).
- Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., GLP, GMP).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large datasets from high-throughput experiments.
- Publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
