Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic product development team in Colchester. As a Product Owner, you will be instrumental in defining, prioritizing, and delivering features that enhance our customer experience and drive business value within our telecommunications product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX/UI, marketing, and sales, to translate strategic objectives into actionable product roadmaps and deliver market-leading solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, providing clarity and making timely decisions.
  • Gather and synthesize requirements from various stakeholders, including customers, business units, and market research.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and user research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze data, and gather feedback to iterate and improve product features.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure products meet high quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog effectively.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with UX/UI principles and design thinking methodologies.
  • Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
