Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Poolside Porter to join our vibrant team for the summer season. This outdoor, seasonal role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment, providing excellent service, and ensuring our poolside area remains pristine and enjoyable for all guests. You will be a crucial part of our leisure team, contributing directly to the guest experience during their relaxation time.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the poolside area, including sun loungers, tables, and pool decks.
- Assist guests with setting up sun loungers, towels, and ensuring their comfort by the pool.
- Monitor pool safety and report any potential hazards or incidents to management immediately.
- Replenish towels and ensure adequate supplies are available for guests.
- Set up and break down poolside furniture at the beginning and end of each day or shift.
- Assist with light cleaning duties around the leisure facilities as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering guest inquiries and assisting with their needs.
- Ensure all pool equipment is stored correctly and safely.
- Work collaboratively with other leisure team members to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to lift and move equipment, and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding guest service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per seasonal demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures related to pool areas.
- First Aid certification (desirable but not essential, training can be provided).
