Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Marine Fuel Dock Attendants for the upcoming seasonal period at our beautiful Port de l’Estaque marina. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for the marine environment, and thrive in a customer-focused role. As a key member of our team, you will be the face of our fuel dock, ensuring smooth operations, providing excellent service to our boating guests, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidates who possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist boaters with fueling services, including proper pump operation and fuel handling.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, answering questions and offering local information.
  • Operate and maintain fuel pumps, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
  • Monitor fuel levels and assist with ordering and receiving fuel deliveries.
  • Handle sales transactions for fuel and other dockside supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fuel dock area and surrounding premises.
  • Assist with docking and undocking of vessels as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic numeracy for handling transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift moderate weights (e.g., fuel hoses) and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a marina, boating, or outdoor recreation environment.
  • Basic knowledge of boating safety and marine terminology.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proficiency in French and English.
