Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Online Transcriptionist: Medical Scribe to join our remote team. This crucial role involves accurately transcribing medical dictations, documenting patient encounters in real-time or from audio recordings, and assisting healthcare providers with administrative tasks to ensure seamless clinical workflows. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional listening skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe dictated medical reports, clinical notes, and other healthcare documents.
- Document patient histories, physical exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans directly into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and adhere to Bupa's standards and regulatory requirements.
- Clarify inconsistencies or inaccuracies in dictation with healthcare providers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient information and adhere to data protection regulations.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support clinical operations.
- Utilize medical transcription software and tools proficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Medical Scribe or Medical Transcriptionist.
- Excellent listening and typing skills (minimum 60 WPM).
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited medical transcription or medical scribe program.
- Familiarity with various medical specialties and sub-specialties.
- Experience with specific EHR systems used by Bupa.
- Previous experience working in a remote capacity.
