Job Description

Are you a hands-on individual with a knack for problem-solving and an eye for detail? Orkin Canada is looking for a dedicated Pest Control Exclusion Technician to join our team in New Westminster. In this vital role, you will be responsible for identifying and sealing potential entry points for pests in residential and commercial buildings. No prior pest control experience is required – we provide extensive, paid training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest entry points and vulnerabilities.
  • Apply exclusion techniques, including sealing cracks, holes, and gaps with appropriate materials (e.g., caulk, wire mesh, foam).
  • Install physical barriers and deterrents to prevent pest access.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about the exclusion process, findings, and preventive measures.
  • Document all work performed, materials used, and observations accurately.
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicles in excellent condition.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.

Required Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that may involve climbing, crawling, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
