Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start with a dynamic team? Two Men and a Truck in Chesapeake is hiring Movers / General Labourers! No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training. This is an excellent opportunity for students or anyone eager to gain valuable work experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently moving household goods, ensuring customer satisfaction with every job. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload furniture and other household items onto and off moving trucks.
- Wrap and pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Perform general labour duties as assigned, including cleaning and organizing equipment.
- Complete paperwork and inventories accurately.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled student).
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Valid driver's license (not required for all positions but a plus for future advancement).
