Job Description
Join the RH team as a High-End Furniture Delivery & Assembly Specialist, where you will be instrumental in delivering and assembling luxury furniture to our discerning clients. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to perform precise assembly work. You will be the face of RH in our clients’ homes, providing a ‘white glove’ service that reflects our brand’s dedication to quality and elegance. This is a full-time, on-site position based out of our Milwaukee hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport high-end furniture and home decor items to client residences.
- Perform precise and accurate assembly of various furniture pieces, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic alignment.
- Execute 'white glove' service, including careful unwrapping, placement, and final cleaning of items, leaving the client's space immaculate.
- Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections and post-assembly quality checks to ensure all items meet RH's high standards.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, addressing any questions or concerns with a problem-solving approach.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, installations, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in furniture delivery, assembly, or a related field requiring careful handling of goods.
- Proven ability to perform precise furniture assembly with attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture (up to 75 lbs individually, team lift for heavier items) and perform physical tasks associated with delivery and assembly.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in varying client environments.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools required for furniture assembly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, or a service-oriented role.
- Familiarity with RH products and brand standards.
- Advanced knowledge of furniture construction and repair techniques.
- Certification in furniture assembly or a related trade.
