Job Description
We are seeking motivated and physically capable individuals to join our team as a Marquee / Tent Erection Laborer. This is a demanding, hands-on role involving significant outdoor work in various weather conditions, requiring stamina and a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation and dismantling of various sizes of marquees and tents for events across the Chilliwack area and Fraser Valley. Overtime opportunities are frequently available, offering the chance to increase your earnings. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of tenting equipment and materials at the warehouse and job sites.
- Participate in the layout, erection, and dismantling of various types and sizes of tents and temporary structures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and coordinating efforts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
- Perform general labor duties as required to support event setup and breakdown.
- Adapt to changing work schedules and job site conditions, including varying weather.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and strenuous physical work for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, general labor, or event setup.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
