Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Lobby Porter to join our dedicated team for afternoon shifts at our prestigious hotel in Chesterfield. As a Lobby Porter, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, responsible for ensuring guests receive a warm reception and seamless service from the moment they arrive. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and enhancing the overall guest experience. You will assist guests with luggage, provide information, and maintain the cleanliness and order of the hotel lobby. Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist guests with luggage handling, including loading and unloading from vehicles, and transporting to and from rooms.
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Help guests with special requests and directions.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming lobby area at all times.
- Support the front desk team with various tasks as needed.
- Ensure the security of guest belongings and hotel property.
- Escort guests to their rooms and provide a brief orientation to the room features if required.
Required Skills
- High level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
- Proactive and attentive to guest needs.
- Ability to work afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Chesterfield area and local attractions.
- Valid UK driving license (though not essential for all tasks, can be beneficial for valet support if applicable).
